Olcott, Canadaway, Chautauqua

cCreeks all did not disappoint.

When Dan and I got to Olcott the stream was really off color.  That did not stop the big browns from hitting.  Dan really rocked the browns in the morning and I contributed my share.  I later ventured upstream to the high wall and lit em up pretty good there, including a huge salmon.

The next day we went to Chautauqua Creek.  Dan started off in a spot I told him not to fish.  Thank goodness he didn’t listen.  He nailed a ton of steelies there, while I lost a bunch.  We ventured down to my honey hole, and there it was one after another.  I caught 3 in three casts there, and proceeded to catch a few more in that spot. At Canadaway, Dan landed 3 and the highlight was watching 2 brownies follow each other around spawning.

Today Dan Hooked around 15 and landed 2, while I hooked 12 and lost every fish I hooked.

The trip was 100% fun and 100% successful.  Dan continues to master the steelhead fishing.  And Sean, we had around 4 “rare doubles” and some of our pics have 2 fish in the net.
