I had Ed as a student. When he asked me to join he and Father Joe in a smallmouth trip to the Niagara River I couldn’t resist.
Ed knows the river well and between the 3 of us we picked up around 20 fish, and a few sheephead from Lake Erie.
Day 2 we spent the day trolling for muskies on Chautauqua Lake, but no fish would cooperate.
I really had a great time with fishing with these guys, and as I told all of my students on that last day of school, “You came into this room 9 months ago as my students; but you will leave this room as my friends”. Some of my students left as my fishing buddies.
Father Joe is a really great fisherman and a more personable and entertaining person you will not meet. Thanks guys, for a great 2 days of NY fishing.
