The black stone fly was coming off and the trout were rising every where!
A new member was tossing a caddis, the closest thing he had to a stone fly and on his 3rd cast he connected. I had no dry flies with me, and man, I wish I did.
The creek was an 11 out of ten and I saw several big fish caught. One tiger at the walking bridge was huge, but lost after a long struggle. The guy’s line broke, but I saw the fish from the bridge.
There were a few trees down and it amazes me how Steve gets the job done getting the fallen timber taken care of. Under his supervision and love for the club, he makes the Yellow Creek Trout Club the best place to fish….period.
My first fish of the day was a Chinese fire drill off the lower quad bridge fishing upstream. Great net job by the new guys.
