Back to the club

and to some really low/clear water.  Spooky fish that were tough to catch, until I ventured upstream.

I arrived at Keiko’s hole and I hooked a 20+ inch fish on a 20 hook.  After he ran upstream I entangled in some laurel and off he went with my hook in the side of his jaw.  The bad news.  The good news is I picked this beauty up, a 19 incher in about 2 more casts.  Then the action went nonstop for about 45 minutes.  The fish were actually competing for my fly.   That one spot saved the day.

On my way back down I picked off one last fish at the black hole, hooking him off the bridge and finagling him around some branches and eventually landing him.

This storm will bring some much needed rain…..I hope.
