My catch on Sunday

is pictured here for your enjoyment. Yes, I got skunked for the first time in all the years I have been fishing there.
Now, the parade of excuses….The water was really high and stained from all the precip we’ve had and the law of averages was against me. Every dog has his day and Sunday was not mine.
I even tried the pond, but the gail like winds and snow dashed any hope there as well. Oh, well, there is always next time. Bummer.
P.S. the temp with wind chills was close to 0 degrees which also didn’t help.
This being said, Yellow Creek is still the best place on the planet to fish….bar none.

High water

but very fishable. Did well above the curve and below the lower quad bridge. Al’s rock did not fish well for me today and neither did the boulder hole. Go figure. We are stocking Friday and fishing on Saturday of this week.

Rainy and low

is how I would describe the stream today. Caught 2 over 20″ on my first 3 fish.
The quad bridge was good, the curve was good, above the curve was good, but, Al’s rock was awesome. Got two over 20″ there, and saw 2 more I couldn’t get.
The far side of the boulder hole fished well and I lost a monster brown at the curve. All in all it was a great day. Saw only one other guy there.
Yellow Creek is just awesome!

Another big bow

that was caught at the club last week. Thanks to Dan for the pic and the fine net job.

This guy was caught at the lower quad bridge on a size 22 sucker spawn.

The club is fishing as good as I ever can remember. An awesome day.
