due to computer troubles, but posted the pic of a huge bow I caught at the club this weekend.
This was a truly awesome day and I could not believe how many fish I caught…..7 over 20″.
The boulder hole was just loaded with cooperative fish. Went to Erie and had a spectacular day there. My next post will show some pic’s from that day. This month has been extra special in my fishing memories in the quality of the fishing I have experienced.

Trying to catch the tiger
we stocked on Friday, but got this big bow instead.
Once again, the golden retriever was the ticket. Caught a lot of fish today and the water/weather was perfect. Al got a biggie, but no pic of it.
Caught over a dozen tigers today, and one I lost above the curve was huge. Will try for him another day.
Happy New Year
Warning to all Elk Creek Steel Head Fisherman:
This picture represents a rare shot of 3 generations of the most lethal, cunning and notorious steelhead fly fisherman to ever set foot on the Erie Tribs. They routinely take over holes and catch or burn every fish in sight with little or no remorse.
Thus, leaving behind a hole full of stunned and confused fish that had no idea what hit them. The fishing hole is worthless for days after this brutal onslaught. Any other fisherman seeing these four leaving or entering a hole should run the other way as fast as they can. The four can be heard shouting bone chilling phrases like – “We crushed them”, “I got a monster” “We busted them”, “I absolutely pounded those fish” “We beat that water to a froth” “The golden retriever is killing them” Apparently, they use some kind of killer dog in their onslaughts. The older one is apparently the leader of this pack and has been known to carry millions of flies. The youngest one looks harmless but he wields a 10 ft 7 wt fly rod like Zoro with lightning quick reflexes and is tireless in his methodical attacks.
If these four are ever sighted on an Erie Tributary don’t call us just pack up and move on and save yourselves.
and save yourselves.
Sunday at the club, then New Year’s
Went to the club on Sunday with Al. The creek was a little on the high side, but the creek fished well.
The ticket today was small. Picked this guy up on a size 22 sucker spawn. Right as I landed him the fly popped right out of its mouth.
Got him on the second pass of the hole above the curve.
Heading back up on New Year’s with Al.
Erie
Went to Erie with the Lacinski’s.
Started at the “secret hole” with around 10 other guys. Alec really spanked them there and so did Sean, Dan, and I.
Proceded to the Legion Hole and did more of the same. Erie is just loaded with fish and guys, but the trip is well worth the while.
Had a great day with the guys. Heading to Yellow tomorrow……
