Big bow in the snow

This bow fell for the golden retriever, which has become my number one fly lately.

The creek was really up and this guy was caught at the boulder hole. I know I have caught this guy before do to an unusual gill plate marking.

Though the fishing was not easy, Yellow Creek as always has pulled through in flying colors.

Another great day on my fave stream.

Server down

so I have not been posting. Went to Erie and found a new spot courtesy of Dan and the boys. Could not fish due to ice/slush on the water but did go thru the motions. Concluded the day at the new spot and all heck broke out. Seems this spot was stacked with fish and for nearly 3 hours I was able to hook several fish and thus had a great day on Elk Creek. Couldn’t say how many I hooked there, but the fishing was awesome. Thanks, Dan!

Alec, Dan, and I

went to the club on Sat. The creek was a little high, but in great shape.
We really did well, especially at the boulder hole. Alec caught 11 fish today and he was as happy as a lark. Dan and I were so happy for him as well.
This bow was caught on the golden retriever at the boulder hole. I caught another 20+ inch there as well. A great day to be on the water with my 2 awesome nephews.

Went to the club on Sunday

the creek was high, but did manage to catch a few nice fish.
Steve is stocking on Friday, so we will fish on Saturday.
The hole above the curve is still producing. The first fish I caught was 20″+. So was the second. Virtually no one has been fishing my last 2 trips. Can’t figure out why.
Got my new spey rod and I might try it on Fri before we stock.

Went to the club Thurs

and had the place all to myself. Saw a ton of deer and heard 3 shots in the distance. The water was high, but fishable. We really did need the rain we got, and I hope we get some additional rain accordingly to keep the water level up.

No spot really outfished another, but “you shoulda seen the one that got away” below the step dam. The Golden retriever is still working like a charm.
