Joe’s Wildside Adventures

This is a pic of a bow we caught while filming the TV show. It was a lot of fun and the host, Joe Rossi, and his camera man are two of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Went to Erie this week and caught some nice steelies. But, the water is really low and full of fish.

Went to the club the following day and the water was still a little low, but, it had some color.

Cast and Blast at Yellow Creek

Joe really enjoys when he gets to work close to home. Such is the case this week when Joe travels to the Yellow Creek Trout Club in Brush Valley, PA about an hour from Pittsburgh. Steve Renosky and Mike Keryeski are there to guide and show Joe the ins and outs of Yellow Creek. Watch as the guys have their hands full with these beautiful Rainbows, Browns, Brookies and Tiger Trout. These guys are catch and release only. To stay with the trout theme, the South Fayette Shop & Save provided Joe with some fresh farm raised trout for this weeks edition of Cooking on the Wildside.

Alec

Here is my grand nephew, Alec, with his first fish at the club. He caught this one at the curve all by himself. Big B Sean looks on. The water is really low, but full of fish.

We had a lot of hook ups and the fishing will only get better as the season progresses. Not to be a broken record, but, man, do we need rain and lots of it.

Until next time…………..

Big Bow "estaz style"

Got this beauty on an estaz stramer, a brand new pattern. The creek is really low and clear and the rain we got did not do a thing to raise the water level. Heading back up tomorrow morning for a few hrs. Remember, from the butt to the cork is 11″.

Still low….still clear

The club was crowded, but the fish are there. The highlight of my day was seeing a bear above the curve. Unfortunately, the camera did not see him….bummer. I took 4 pic’s, but they are all black.
Steve is stocking the creek this Thursday. We have to hope for rain. The flow is not good, although the water temp is.
