Wishin and hopin

to find the creek/trout ok. Making a trip today to check the creek out, run the dog, and grab some food in Indiana. Will submit a report about my visit soon.
This brown was caught this spring below the quad bridge.
Come on, fall……………..

Low Water

The lowest I have ever seen it. Man. do we need rain and some cool temps…..gonna be a while until I get to the club again. Check back when the water/weather cools.

Posting this "small" bow

waiting for a guy to email me a pic of a really big brown I caught yesterday. The creek was really, really, low and the trout will soon be staging in the springs. Could have been my last trip for the summer to the club……bummer.
Steve did a fabulous job stocking/maintaining the water this year, as he always does. I will be tying flies and getting ready for the fall season and for the fall steelheading at Erie.

Couldn’t resist

going back to Yellow today. Did fairly well, but every big fish (3) I hooked I lost. Let me qualify this. When I say big, I mean in the 24″+ size. The really light line makes it tough to land these big guys. One brown in particular coins the adage of “you should seen the one that got away”.
One guy said, I hope you have plenty of backing, that fish is a monster. Never did land him. Oh, well…………………….
