Been a While

Been a while since I uploaded to the blog. This is a pic of a steelie caught on Elk Creek with my nephews Dan and Sean. Just as I suggested we leave this spot, this guy decided to bite. This started an onslaught of fish to start hitting. Go, figure.
Went to the club a couple of times and spent 2 days at the Yellow Breeches. The Breeches was just stocked and the fish were very cooperative, but small. Perfect weather and dinner at Allenberry was awesome. Took Bridgette to the club and she was awesome too.

April 10

Got a couple of nice fish today in perfect water conditions. One of Steve’s employees had a cell phone and snapped this pic of a bow. The creek is so well-stocked and the best time of year is upon us. The fishing is going to be really good, and it will be stocked again before the tournament. Look out!

Troopers

These 2 great nephews of mine are truly troopers. Never complain about the cold, wet, or being hungry. These guys arrive at the creek with their boots on, and ready to go. Sean and Ryan are really becoming accomplished anglers. I really love going out with these guys. They are awesome fisherman, and great kids, just like their brother, Alec, and their parents. I am really proud of all of them, and love em with all my heart. Happy Easter, troopers.

March 30

Dan, Sean, Al, and I went to the club on Sat. Water a little high (2.6), but fish were cooperative. Al caught a barrelful of fish, and Dan and Sean, sure caught their share as well.
Picked this guy up above Al’s rock on an orange bugger. Got a delicious steak and a couple of cold ones from Steve. Fished until dark because the weather was so nice, despite falling into the creek. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, it was cold. But did save my rod from sinking into cold swift water. A great day to be astream.

Falls at Erie

Sometimes it ain’t about the fishing. It is about the family, friends, and the scenery. Today I am talking about just that….my family, Dan, Sean, Al, and Steve….My friends, the fellow fisherman on the stream that day, and the scenery……the falls on Elk Creek. Had a great weekend in Erie. What I will remember the most was the campfire at Dan’s camp, and pulling Sean’s leg.
