Finally got the palomino

Finally got the palomino we stocked 2 weeks ago.

This fish and quite a few more fell to the kreelex streamer.  Gave a few away and the guys using them also caught fish on that crazy concoction.

The creek was still a little off color, but the fish did not mind a bit.

Ran into Jack Paulik and he also nailed a few on that streamer.

Hit the pond

at the Yellow Creek Trout club and caught this beauty.

But, the fish I lost at the hole above the curve was the fish of the day.

Caught him on the kreelex streamer and have had a lot of luck on that streamer lately.  Ran me around for 15 minutes before I lost him in a log jam.

Creek a tad high so I went to the pond and caught the fish pictured.

Stocked Friday and fished Saturday

Caught a mess at the Step dam and at the Joe B hole and wound up the day above the lower quad.  These two beauties came out of that spot and it was a great way to end the day.

The palomino was caught by a friend, Scott, on a bugger, and this fish gave up quite a tussle.

The creek was in great shape and all of the anglers had a great day catching fish at the Yellow Creek Trout Club today.

Jan 3, 2019

Got this guy at the curve.  Not the best pic, but believe me, this was one huge fish!  The second was a print screen of a video, again, not the best pic, but that was a really nice fish and a good day at the YCTC.  By the way, the place was packed….but still plenty of room and plenty of fish.

The temp hit almost 50 today.

Stocked the Yellow Creek Trout Club

on Friday and this is one of 2 big palomino trout we stocked.  In addition Steve and the Laurel Hill hatchery put in 3 rainbows pushing 10 pounds and many other quality trout in the 14 to 20 inch length.

After the stocking I picked up a huge bow and a brown trout that ripped 2 of my fingers open with its teeth.

When I got home I bought a set of forceps to avoid this happening again.  My old forceps are some where on the stream as I lost them earlier in the day.
