Friday’s Stocking/Fishing

After stocking on Friday, Matt and I fished the creek until dark. The highlight of the day for me was catching a palamino we stocked on our second stocking. This one fell for a sucker spawn. Matt did a great job in netting this trophy, then snapped a pic of me and the fish.

November 3 Stocking

On Friday I will again be heading to the club for yet another stocking. Talked to Matt this week and he said this will be the largest stocking to date. I am going to fish after this stocking and heading back on Sunday for more of the same. Look out! The creek is really gonna have a ton of fish in it after that. Can’t wait. This bow went into the step dam hole, and as far as I know, hasn’t been caught due to high/warm water. Things are only going to get better thanks to Steve.

A Pic from the Past

My wife Paula took this pic of me at Fisherman’s Paradise in 1976. I caught this bow on a crowe beatle in the month of March. Note the Fenwick patch on the vest and a Tri County Trout patch on the hat. In those days Spring Creek was the place to be. No boots, due to no wading.

Bridge on the bridge

This is a pic of Bridgette on the foot bridge at the fly project in Brookville. She will again be at the club this Friday, because Steve will be stocking again this week! If a guy falls in the creek, no worry, he won’t get wet. The fish will hold him up and keep him dry. The fish numbers are really gonna be up now. Can’t wait for the weekend to get back up and catch them.

Steve and Bridgette

Steve and Bridgette are at the swimmin’ hole stocking some fish. Al and I went up to the club to fish on Sunday, but the creek was really high. We did catch some fish, but the going was tough. A lot of guys fished on Sunday, but the high water made the fishing difficult for all of the anglers. Having trouble getting this post on the blog. Might have to consult my guru, my son Michael.
