Steve’s Pic

Bought a new scanner and scanned the picture that Steve so graciously gave to Al and me. We both have the pic on top of our tv’s so we can look at them every day. Once again, many thanks, Steve for the picture and for all the wonderful things you do for us, the club, and the sport of fishing.

A Slow Day..Sept 23

Went to Yellow with Al and got a fish on my first cast. Took me over two hours to get my second. Got a third on a bugger above the lower quad bridge, and got a monster carp (photo coming) at the pavillion.

Went to the pond and picked up a really nice 2.5 lb smallie. Beautiful weather, no crowds, saw a small muskrat swim under me, and had a great day. Wish I could have had more action, but so it goes when fishing.

Bull Creek Bow

Went to Yellow this AM with Al. Got a nice tiger and 3 other fish, but had to work really hard for them. The water was a little warm..we need more cold nights to get the temps down. So, I put a pic of a rainbow I caught on Bull Creek earlier this year. Al managed 3 fish and I talked to one guy who caught one. No complaints though, the weather was great, saw 2 beavers, and a water snake, and met a couple of nice guys at the pavillion.

Laurel Hill Trout Farm

Located near Seven Springs, Laurel Hill produces the fine trout that are stocked in Yellow Creek. Matt is the guy who brings the fish to the club. We had a great day of fishing this past spring at Laurel Hill. I have been fortunate to meet a ton of really great people while fishing, and Matt is one of the many. He is a real trout “expert” and willingly shares his knowlege with other anglers. On his next trip he is bringing a huge palamino. I can’t wait to see the fish. I also can’t wait to see Matt on the stream with rod in hand.

Look familiar?

This is the rainbow you see in the photo below. This is a picture of us stocking the fish. We put a lot of really nice fish in the creek and we will be stocking a lot more in the months to come. Keep dropping in on this blog to see some more great pics and stories
