Muskie fishing for 2 days

with nephew Dan on Chautauqua.  This is a tradition we have been doing for 4 yrs now and we spent 2 days fishing Chautauqua with guide Todd Young.

We boated 2 small muskies and Dan had a great follow on one of his homemade flies.  Dan lost a beauty that hit a jerk bait at the boat.

We cast big baits for 8 straight hours 2 days in a row.  The fish of 10,000 casts is exactly that.

Can’t wait for next year.

Winding down for summer

but this day was pretty good.

Fished the AM and did get some action.  Met Steve and he showed me a spot I have walked past many times.  Won’t walk past it again.

We caught these at Campbell’s dam and as always, enjoy fishing with Steve.  Will be carpin, but hope for cool weather and rain to keep the trout fishing going.

Met the Paulik’s

at the Yellow Creek Trout Club and here are the results.  Great to see my good friends again.  Bob was my roommate at Edinboro and Jack is his brother, and my good friend and fishing buddy.

Fished in the AKHF trout tournament yesterday at YCTC with best buddies Mike Keryeski, Dan Lacinski, and Nathan Derringer. We placed fifth this year and had an excellent day being together. We all caught fish and contributed to the team effort. I really love my true friends more than they know. The teasing just goes with the territory.
