11/4

Went to the club.  2 cars there all morning.

Started out slow, but after figuring out what the fish wanted, I put together a nice bunch of fish, before leaving at 11 to play pickleball in Indiana.

A small white streamer was the ticket.

I lost a huge fish at the top of the straight stretch.  Never saw it, but he had me down to my backing.  He still has a size 16 blood dot in his mouth.

This beauty was caught below the lower quad.

Chautauqua Creek was blown out

for the last 3 days.

I did try to fish it today, but to no avail.  The incredible thing is the place was packed with guys.

There is a riding mower in the middle of 16 mile run.

Now I know why I love the Yellow Creek Trout Club so much!

First stocking

and Steve loaded them up.  We put a few hundred fish in today.  We had a mixture of bows, browns, and an occasional tiger.

Plenty of help made the stocking go quickly and I will be heading back up tomorrow with my old college roommate and his brother to see if we can get a couple to bite..

Finally got a day

to get to the club.

I fished really hard for a grand total of one carp and one 20 inch rainbow (accident) landed.

The carp were really sluggish as the water was cold, the water was really clear, and the carp, quite frankly, have wised up.

Did meet 4 new members today and they will be great additions to the club.  I am bad at names, so if you are reading this blog, welcome!

It just felt good to be out fishing.

I did forget the memory card, so no video.
