Another tournament

and a 4th place.  Don’t know what it is, but I caught 5 fish as did fishing buddy Joe B.  Al lead the way with around 10 and his son Nate rocked the big one with a 24 inch bow.

Those plastic baits are really the ticket if you want to catch fish for sure.

Went to the club with mixed emotions and met up with fishing buddy Joe Bama.

We started out at the corner pocket and we got 11 fish between us.  I hit a big brookie and Joe met up with his girlfriend and down the creek they went.

I did really well at the new dam, but the lower quad bridge stretch was just jammed with big fish.  I hit 3 really big fish, 2 bows and a brown there.  2 guys fishing below that dam fished that one spot for 5 hours.  Every time I looked down they were hooked up!

Low and clear just the way I like it.

and no one at the club.   Low water, but the way I like it for sure.

Should have resulted in a ton of action, and I did get a lot of fish below the new dam.  Other spots, not so much.

Did experiment with some new flies and had some mixed results.

The few good fish I caught could not be photographed because my camera had a problem auto-focusing.  The most amazing thing was catching 2 bigs at the walking bridge on back to back casts, the first is on video.  That is how the day started.  The old orange/chenille honey bug pulled through.  Will tie a ton this week.
