in the parking lot.  Virtually had the place to myself.

Slow start, but the action picked up.  Once again, small sucker spawn was the ticket.  Could only get to the curve again due to the knees, but in numbers caught, it was a really good day.

The overflow from the new dam provided a good hour and a half of good fishing.  The curve came through as did the hole above it.

The lower quad bridge was incredible, including a huge brown and the first fish of the day on the video.

but when the bite picked up, I saw so many big fish caught…I couldn’t believe it.

The one pictured below was caught at the walking bridge, but every guy there was doing the same…catching big fish.

There were quite a few guys there, but enough fish to go around for sure.

Along with temps in the 70’s, great flow and water color, this made for a great day on the water.

and we got there around 9.  I went to the step dam where I hooked 15 and landed 12 in a matter of minutes!

I hobbled down to the lower quad and picked up a huge brown, which I have on video and while fishing from the bridge casting up, I caught 2 bows that were around 18 inches.  Some good Samaritan ran down and netted both fish for me.  I got them on a white bugger.  With so many fish stocked every guy there caught a bunch of fish.

The weather was just warm enough, the creek was an 11 and the way those fish were hitting, a guy could not ask for a better day on the stream.

and headed up to the  club for some perfect weather and really good fishing conditions.

I got 7 fish today over 20 inches and it was the day of big fish.

I had a rainbow that 3 different guys tried to net and none of them had a net big enough to hold the fish.

My camera had a spot on the lens and most of my pics were crumby.  The 3 I am posting were nice fish.  But the really big fish have blurry centers.  Felt good to get out after my surgery.  I over did it….but it was worth it.

along with Al, Paul, and friends and relatives of Dan Africa.

The fish were cooperative and had the pleasure of reuniting with the family and friends of Dan Africa.  These are some pics from the fish caught that day and a picture of long time friend of the trout club, Gracie.

After fishing the gang met at the pavilion and enjoyed steak, bear stew, and some beverages with family and friends.  Combined with great weather and water the day was really enjoyed by all who attended.
