and caught a 21 inch bow as well.
The flow. color, weather, and fishing were as good as it could get. Uploaded a few carp vid’s and will put up a trout vid in the morning. The fishing was just terrific today and landed at least a dozen huge carp.

The creek was perfect for trout. I was after carp. Hooked 2 and lost them.
Changed to trout and picked up 6 really nice fish…..then came the rain, and I do mean rain!
I am amazed at the “health” of the creek and the health of the fish.
with Steve hosting 3 guys from Allison Park.
The creek was high, slightly stained, and it rained all day. The fish did not mind.
The guys caught 3 over 20 and hooked the palomino, but lost the goldie after a brief fight. After lunch we concluded the day at the lower quad bridge where the guys caught a ton of fish.
After losing 4 we finally landed a carp at the new dam, and it was a lunker for sure.
No pictures because my camera cable is in Alaska some where. If the guys send me some pics I will post them here. Here is a pic of the carp and a nice bow caught below the lower quad bridge.
I had Ed as a student. When he asked me to join he and Father Joe in a smallmouth trip to the Niagara River I couldn’t resist.
Ed knows the river well and between the 3 of us we picked up around 20 fish, and a few sheephead from Lake Erie.
Day 2 we spent the day trolling for muskies on Chautauqua Lake, but no fish would cooperate.
I really had a great time with fishing with these guys, and as I told all of my students on that last day of school, “You came into this room 9 months ago as my students; but you will leave this room as my friends”. Some of my students left as my fishing buddies.
Father Joe is a really great fisherman and a more personable and entertaining person you will not meet. Thanks guys, for a great 2 days of NY fishing.
is finally here.
Went to the club and could not keep the trout off the hook! And, I am fishing for carp.
It took me 3 hours to finally hook one up, but it was well worth the wait. Having hooked 4 and losing them under the log at the straight stretch, I finally connected below the log and landed him at the dam there.
The second one I landed came from below the curve at the new dam and I landed him at the same log mentioned above. Again, I had to “dodge” trout to hook him.
Will post a video on you tube of today’s trip.
