We celebrated

the life of Dan Africa at the club this weekend.  There was plenty of family, friends, food, and memories shared at the club on these past  2 days.

The water was low, the fishing was good, but the companionship and remembrances of Dan was the focus this weekend and the club,  Dan’s  friends, family, and club members, all came together to honor our friend and celebrate his life.   You are missed but never forgotten Tooty.  God bless you, buddy.

Hit Olcott

with nephew Dan, and we hit the browns pretty good, the steel fairly good, and the salmon….couldn’t keep those huge fish off the hook.  We really had a blast in perfect conditions, near the end the flow was cut way down though, and fresh fish are still coming into the creek.  We are planning a “Thanksgiving” trip, as we both believe there is a lot of run left.  Check the vid of Dan and the salmon.

Hit Olcott

rainybrownwith Steve, Dan, and friends on Monday, and we hit them pretty good.  Dan got the biggest brown of the day, and we were all hooking browns, bows, and the occasional salmon.

Couldn’t resist going back up on Friday and hit great conditions, lots of fish, and fewer people.  Caught a bunch, but did not get a lot of pics, so I will share these  pics of 2 small, but pretty fish.

The run will only get better from here, if you can put up with the crowded conditions, there are a ton of fish in 18 mile for sure.decent brown

Sneaked up

to the club for an afternoon of fishing, and the trout club did not disappoint.

Hooked up with a guest, who I hope will become a member, at the Black Hole, where we proceeded to hook some real beauties, including the one pictured.

Though the creek is still kinda “low” the fish are in great shape, cooperative, and plentiful.  Fish small flies and light lines.  The creek will do the rest.footballrainbow
