The club

nov1nov2nov3

had plenty of water and the best flow of the year.

I had a ball sight fishing and caught several fish at the curve, quad bridge, and at the walking bridge.  2 fish were over 20″ and I lost a real beauty fishing off the lower bridge.

Had to leave early, could have caught a lot more fish.  The creek was a 10.

Two days

thurbow

in a row I landed 2 fish.  Day one 2 hook ups, day 2, 5 hook ups.

The creek was perfect in color and flow, it seems there just aren’t a lot of fish in at the moment.  Going to hit Pa tomorrow and fish 20.

Olcott

with Steve and Dan on Saturday.

Arrived at 5 and upon arriving Dan hooked up, then Steve and I doubled up.  We fished the far side and stood in waist deep cold water, but it was well worth it.  We hooked up from the time we got there until when we left mid afternoon.

The fisherman were all a bunch of great guys and my faith in the fellow fisherman is again restored.

The following day we tried Chautauqua, but it was unfishable due to high water.  Stopped at Elk on the way home and the same story there.  Hope to head up to the cabin on Tues night.

Went to NY streams

again and had a better day than the day before.  The creek was just perfect.

Got one that literally jumped 3 feet out of the water!  A great fight.  The biggest surprise I got was the amount of guys that were on the stream.   Another guy that I have seen a lot recently surprised me when he kept a nice bow.  Didn’t expect him to not be a catch and release guy.  Don’t begrudge people keeping fish, he did not seem the type.

If I had to pick a number I would say I landed a dozen fish.

16 was jam packed

so after hooking one I went back to NY where I found the water a little high, but very fishable.

Started at the trestle and hooked a small one there.

In the riffle below I really hit a nice pod of fish, and so did the guy below me.  As a result all of the people coming upstream started settling all around us, and 2 guys became 7 in a hurry.  That was my invitation to leave.  Pictured is a fresh fish I landed before the fishing got a little too crowded for my liking….and on a Monday yet.pinfish
