Hit 91 degrees

at the Yellow Creek Trout Club. Lost a monster brown in the corner pocket.

Left early due to heat. I was in my neoprene boots, left the lightweights at the cabin. Did manage this bow and a few other fish, until my hot boots sent me packing.

May 18

at the Yellow Creek Trout Club was a banner day for everyone. Perfect weather, water, and company.

Ended the day fishing with Steve and although I didn’t land fish in large numbers, the fish I did catch made up for in beauty and size.

Did manage a big bow, and saw the big from last week, though he was too smart for me on this day.

Perfect weather

and some good fishing.

Started out kinda slow, but things picked up as the day went along.

The Yellow Creek Trout Club had many visitors, but the place can handle the people.

There are tons of fish in the stream for sure.

Finally got him

This is the guy I wrote about…the one that got away. This time he didn’t. Got this guy at the Yellow Creek Trout Club today with a 20 inch brook, a 20 inch bow, and a huge tiger trout as well.

Finally got out

and made it out to the Yellow Creek Trout Club.

I didn’t set the world on fire with numbers, but the quality of the fish was unreal.

Not to be a broken record, but you should have seen the one that got away.

The best part of the day was running into Al Derringer. That guy casts farther sitting down than I do standing up. So good to see you buddy!
