to the club today and we managed to catch some nice fish in near perfect water conditions. A little rainy, but sunny at times, but with the warm temps and steady action, the trip was well worth it. Gave him all the info and just waiting to hear about his joining the club….still the best place on earth to fish.
Did not take any pic’s today, but should have done so, especially the 3 or 4 that were close to 20″….Oh, well……….

Happy New Year
2.6 water flow and the fishing was tough. Just wanted to get the first fish of 2012 and accomplished that, barely. The water was high and coffee colored, but did manage 6 fish. Dan got one, Ryan, 1 and Zach 0. But it was so nice fishing with Al, Dan, and the 2 boys. Stocking Fri this week and fishing on Sat. Happy New Year. Got the tiger off Al’s rock.
Erie
was high, and I mean high. Struck out at Elk, then ventured to 16 mile…same results. Returned to Elk and Dan picked one up at the secret hole. I hooked one and broke it off when it almost emptied my reel. Not because of its huge size, but because it went downstream and was in a 100 moh current. It was not worth breaking off and losing 30 M of new fly line. This is a pic of the 1 and only steelie landed.
