Erie

Stayed at Dan’s and got to the creek early. It poured the whole time.
When we got to the “secret hole” we were met with really high water that was heavily stained. Dan hooked up a really nice 8# bow and I got a small brown. After moving we picked up 2 more fish above our starting place, and we both hooked up a few more. We left in the rain, drove home in the rain, and anyone going up this week will definitely benefit from all the rain that fell this weekend.
The fish in the pic was the 2nd I caught above the secret hole.

Stocked

the club on Sat, and put in 300+ fish and 6 lunkers in.
This 24 inch beauty came from the top of the property and fell for a tan wooly bugger. The flow was perfect, color, perfect, and weather perfect.
Broke my rod, but Steve came to the rescue and lent me his. Man, is it good to be back at the club with good friends, good weather, and good fishing.

Erie

Got there at 6 AM (Legion) and got 2 on in my first 5 casts. There were fish caught basically all morning, but i must have hooked 5 or so before I landed any. After a brief drought, around 9AM the creek lit up and quite a few fish got caught. I hooked a bunch, kinda one after another and managed to land 5. As i was getting ready to call it a day, the creek got clear and dropped in height. If Erie does not get rain, I would not venture up.

Lefty

Haven’t been posting, cause I haven’t been fishing.
Did do a casting seminar with Lefty Kreh. I thought I knew a lot after 40 yrs of fly fishing. Lefty blew me away. He is an awesome caster, fisherman, and gentleman. I could listen to him for days, telling stories, teaching, and sharing his vast knowledge of fishing. I know I added 10 yards to my double haul thanks to him. If you ever get the chance, don’t pass it by to meet this great guy.

Fall stocking

was made at the club and Steve put in 300 fish. They ranged from 14 – 20 inches. Some nice tigers and bows in the mix.
The rain continues to fall and I have not returned to fish em yet. No pic’s as I left my camera in the car. Steve got a few pic’s and I will upload them as soon as he returns from a trip. Fall is here. The club is stocked, steel head will start running and the fishing year begins. Pretty cool stuff.
