Perfect Water

and weather.

I didn’t set the world on fire in numbers, but found some action in the corner pocket. I landed 2 really nice bows there.

The club had a lot of people, but as always, the anglers were respectful and I did see a lot of fish caught.

When the water is perfect and the weather too, it ain’t about the number of fish caught.

water was cloudy, a tad high, and some rain

when I got to the yellow Creek Trout Club.  Met buddy Jack there and let him use my Sage.  He loved it, so I sold it to him on the spot.  He broke it in nicely landing  a few nice fish on it.

I got a few as well, but the story of the day was….

Making a long cast in waist deep water, by ultra light glasses flew off into the murky water.  We could not see them, but I knew they were downstream from where I stood.  Jack walked down and stood below me while I scooped the bottom walking toward him.  After many scoops and reaching him on the last dredge, my glasses were in the net.  What luck.

We finished the day catching a few more.  This is one of the browns I screen picked from a video.

After 3 months

off for hip surgery, I finally made it back to the Yellow Creek Trout Club for a day of fishing.

The club was perfect for the water quality, the weather, etc.  I did struggle to catch fish due to the fact that wading, etc was quite difficult.  Not due to hip pain, but knee pain.

This pic of a bow is blurry as I had to print screen from a video I shot.  This was the only fish I landed, but did lost 2 really nice ones at the end of the day.

My day ended when a fellow angler had to pull me up the bank.

Did deliver some new signs for the club and Steve is gonna put them up this week.

Great to be back.

Just stocked the club

and fished with John and Steve after the stocking.

Put in around 250 trout at the Yellow Creek Trout Club.  The water was low and clear, but the fish were really cooperative.

Caught about 20 fish after the stocking and fished till dark.  Due to hip surgery it might be a while before I post again.
