Just got back from a stay in Allenberry. A local said they stocked on Friday, and from what I saw, those may have been the only fish in the stream. Saw no fish in the springs themselves and I remember seeing them by the 10’s in the past. Did see some above the Allenberry resort and managed to catch around 8 or so. Missed a few as well. All in all it was a nice trip, but I do long for the numbers of yesteryear. By the way, forgot my “chip” in the camera (again), and was surprised at the amount of guys astream. Erie and Yellow soon!

Just booked a trip with the Orvis shop here on Key West. Heading out tomorrow to try my luck on a tarpon. Hope this trip goes better than my last trip I booked in Aruba. No idea of where, what flies, etc I will be using. My guide will determine this on Wed. Wish me luck.
Hopefully I will post a pic or 2.
Well, just got back and no luck. But I saw a bunch and made a lot of casts, and it resulted in one hook up, which I promptly lost. Keeping the faith, though…. and if you need a good guide, gimme a holler. I can put you on to one for sure.
I’ll be back.
Talk about snakebit
got the big tiger below the walking bridge and look at my one and only pic, so blurry it looks like a carp or something.
The creek, weather, and conditions were once again perfect. Everyone I saw were into fish especially in the morning hours. I fished all of the usual haunts, still could not get bit at the curve. Went back to the boulder hole for the biggie I lost at the tournament and same story. No luck.
Heading to Florida, so I hope the weather and water temps cooperate, so on my return I cam get back to the club.
Just tried my new Ambush fly line and I like it a lot.
Went back to the club
following my poor performance at the tournament.
The creek was perfect in color, temp, and flow. I did catch some nice fish today, but it was the one I lost that mattered most. I hooked an absolute monster brown that I promptly lost. Snake bit.
The ones I did catch were at the walking bridge and below the lower quad bridge.
Finally mastered the self timer on the new camera.
