Really Low

water, but the fish did not mind, and I do not mind either.  In fact, I prefer it.

It allows me to find the bigger fish and that is what I was going for.

Did get some nice bows around 20 and the only pic I took was with this brown trout.  With the low water I wanted to get the fish back asap, so wasn’t getting the camera out for fear of fish damage.

Perfect weather, water, and conditions…….for me.

First stocking

of the Yellow Creek Trout Club.

Steve put in 270 fish today.  Returned to fish after stocking and the fresh stockies hit anything put in front of them, even streamers.

The water was low, but all the guys there caught tons of fish.

The pavilion got a new roof and the place looks awesome!

Cool Water

but some pretty good carp fishing.

Having been skunked my last 2 carp outings I finally had some luck with the carp at the Yellow Creek Trout Club.

The trout remain in good shape and I can’t wait to get back to fishing for the trout.  So happy the water remains cool.

The good and the bad

The good….the trout at the Yellow Creek Trout Club are summering well.  The cool water is keeping the fish in really good shape.

The bad….went fishing for the elusive carp and they were exactly that.  Didn’t land any and even had more problems getting them to hit.  Those carp are tough and smart!

Steve was guiding and his client managed 2 carp and some trout as well.  All I caught were 2 bows around 20 inches long, and I guess that’s a pretty good problem to have.

There is never a bad day at the YCTC.
