Alec
won the Pymatuning Kids Fishing Tourney this weekend for bass in the
11-15 yr old age group. The next closest bass was 18 inches.
He also would have won the BASS in Pittsburgh with this 20 Lb stringer.
Sean had 4 bass in his collection with the biggest being 16 inches and also
did well.

Spent 10 days in Canada fishing. Did some fly outs, long boat runs, ate gourmet food, and had a great time with the Renosky’s and Gib at the Athabasca fishing lodge.
The pike fishing was really good, the walleye could have been even better, but we only would fish until we got enough to eat and then went after northerns and 2 days of laker fishing.
The bugs were biting even better than the fish.
Steve got the biggest laker and Joe got the biggest pike. My favorite I got was my first fish…a 41″ northern on a deceiver fly. Gib had a lot of “beginner’s luck” and became quite the fisherman as the week went on.
I even broke out a spinning rod now and again on this trip, though casting big flies was my real bait of choice.
All in all a fun trip with a bunch of great guys.
Heading to Canada for 10 days of fishing for pike. A totally new experience for me and my fly rod. Been tying all kinds of pike flies and even got some real beauts from my fishing buddy, Tom. This guy is an awesome tier, fisherman, and the best caster I have ever met, and I have met a lot.
Meeting the Yellow Creek guys at the airport tomorrow and will post a ton of pic’s in 2 weeks.
