and was able to really catch a bunch of fish today. There were too many  to count below the lower quad bridge. They are stacked in that spot indeed. The ones pictured were caught below the curve and above the curve in the really fast water. I could not tell you how many really big fish I lost. Some holes I caught fish on nearly every single cast. Sight fishing was the key, but I do set the hook too quickly when I see them take. It was an absolutely banner day at the club today.

is ahead for the club. I did catch some nice fish, no monsters, but as the water warms and gets lower, the fishing will become tougher.
I did see some signs of stress in the fish, so my season will really be curtailed unless the weather cools and or the water cools. There were a ton of really big fish at the curve and I mean a ton of bigs.   Might head back up some cool morning and see if I can get em to bite. Caught the fish pictured at the riffle below the curve along with several others in that spot.

Went to the club with Al and the creek was fishin’ really good today. I caught these fish at the lower quad bridge, the hole below the curve, and the hole above the curve. I lost 3 over 20″ and 2 of them were bigger than the ones I have pictured. It was a great day, and I am hoping for cooler weather, rain, etc to keep this great fishery going.

Dennis and his wife, Martha, made it to Indiana, and the trout club. After a great dinner (thanks, Dennis) we had a day of fishing at Yellow. He let me use his new Orvis stick and I was really impressed. We caught some really nice fish and had a great day. Wonderful people, wonderful fishing, and another group of friends all due to the sport we all embrace. Thanks for a great day and memories I will always treasure.

Had the place to myself. Caught a ton in the tournament hole and got the fish pictured at the walking bridge, Al’s rock, and below the lower quad bridge, where I also lost a real lunker. The water, weather, etc were all near perfect again today. Couldn’t pick just one pic to post today, so I am posting 4.   Happy mother’s day!
