an old fishing buddy, Tom, and went to the club for a couple hours. Tom blasted one on his second cast, and I thought we were gonna really slam em. We did catch some and I lost 2 monsters, but my luck was the same in the tournament losing fish after fish. The water was perfect, the place was crowded, but sometimes the fish don’t hit that well. That being said, we did catch some beauts, saw some true lunkers, and broke in a new rod I picked up this week. Glad I went, even gladder that I went with an old friend. Will return Sun after I get back from Ohio.

went well. We lost more than we caught. The money raised goes to a good cause and a great time was had by all. I tip my hat to the organizers and to the Renosky’s for an outstanding effort, and thank the guys who fished and supported this great cause. The pic is a bow I caught after the tourney ended below the lower quad bridge.

We stocked for the tournament. I arrived at dawn and caught fish like……WOW. The water temp/clarity, etc were just terrific. Caught the big bow at the curve and the big brown at the walking bridge. Stocked a true monster bow above the lower quad bridge and big fish throughout the entire stream length. Caught a bunch before and after we stocked. Saw one other guy fishing.

fished from dawn to noon and had a ball. That new pattern (thanks Dan) worked beyond belief, large, small, and in between sizes all took fish.
I really lit up the stretch below the new dam. The hits were vicious. My lined pulled so hard I did not have to set the hook!
The boulder hole was fantastic and the hole above the quad bridge  was awesome for me and another angler. I caught a huge fish at Al’s rock and some others there as well.

fishing, weather, water were all perfect.
I caught a lot above the lower quad bridge, did well at Al’s rock, clobbered them at the boulder hole, and did well at the walking bridge. I got a lunker above the curve and another at the walking bridge. Caught at least 7 in the 18-20 range including some nice tigers and brookies. Saw 3 other guys all morning. Will return on sat if Al goes.
