brought great weather, great fishing, and great friends to Little Sandy. My first fish of the season is pictured. Sean caught the same fish later in the day.
The place was packed, but the fishing was great. Did really well in the open water and even better at the fly project. I will be at the same place next year to enjoy another opener with family and friends.
By the way, saw another monster (9#) palomino caught there, making it 3 years in a row that this has happened.

Baby
Got this “baby” in the fast water below the upper quad bridge. The story today was the fish that got away.
Due to a log I lost the big brown trout above the lower quad bridge after a 15 min fight. Lost the big tiger at the top end after an even shorter fight. Lost a monster at Al’s rock when my hook broke off.
Caught about 20 in all. The water was just perfect. Heh, Dan, the new color was the charm in a size 14-16.
Easter Saturday
brought a great day on yellow. When I hooked the beast this time he ran me up the creek and took my line and my rod around a log. Took me quite a while to dislodge and land him. Steve snapped a pic.
The other one came from the boulder hole and I used the self=timer, so the pic is a little over exposed. Happy Easter and God bless.
I
went to the club and the weather and water were perfect.
Slammed them in the rifle below the curve in the fast water. It is packed with fish, and I mean packed.
Went to the top hole and lost 3 monsters, one of which was the big tiger, on an olive bugger.
It is swimming around with it in its mouth due to crappy line, it broke above the knot…I knew that hole was just waiting for me to fish it, but, unfortunately I lost all three biggies in that spot, while still catching some others there.
got some nice fish at the boulder hole and in the lower quad bridge stretch.
nothing at al’s rock but did waste a lot of time on the beast, to no avail. check how fat the one bow is……..

Bull Creek
afraid to go to the club today due to the weather predictions. I went to the catch and release water at Bull Creek. Didn’t catch any monsters, but after a 15 min drive I managed to get around 20 fish today in about 3 hrs.
I did not see another person there. It makes me appreciate the Yellow Creek Trout Club all that more
