water, weather, and no crowds.
The curve was packed with fish and I mean packed. Spent the whole day there except for a brief stop at the lower quad bridge and Al’s rock.
The tournament is this Friday. Wish us luck!
on my camera, and I am learning how to use it. My PC has been busted, so I haven’t posted in a while. Made some trips to the club and I have been catching a lot of biggies. I will be posting more pic’s, as my son has my computer now working….even if only temporarily.
Love the sight fishing and the low water. Look for some additional pic’s upcoming.
Today was the trout opener. Al, Dan, Frank, Alec, and Sean and I went to Brookeville.
Frank got a monster bow in the open water and I landed a really nice brownie before
we left for the fly project. While there I got this monster brown trout on the old orange
wooly bugger.
Friendships and spirits renewed, can’t wait till next year.
were the fish of the day.
Did really well above the lower quad bridge. Lost 2 monsters off Al’s rock.
The creek had a bunch of good fisherman on it and I saw several nice fish caught by those guys. The weather and water were perfect today.
I lost another really big fish at the curve, but got several of the really big brooks we put in this week.
The regular opener is on Saturday. Can’t wait.
went with me to the club on Sat. He fished over 9 straight hours and never complained.
Kyle took to casting right off the bat. He hooked up several times, but lost the fish largely due to my error in the poor teaching of hook setting.
He did land a nice brown at the boulder hole and assisted me in landing a big bow at the pavilion (which I also lost due to some impatience in landing it).
Had a great day and hope I have a new convert.
