Finally fishable

though a little high, a little cloudy, but I did really well in the big fish department. Got 2 over 20 above the curve, 3 over 20 at the curve, and 2 over 20 at the boulder hole, where I also lost a true monster.
The weather was perfect and the green wooly and the orange were the ticket today.
All in all it was a great day to be on the water.

Len

and I haven’t been fishing in over a year. We used to go a lot, but things happen, I guess.
Went to the club and the water was high and murky. But, we did get a few, This biggie came from the pond and we got a few others below in the main stream. We lost 2 really nice ones above the curve.
We worked hard, but did get some fish. Sometimes it ain’t about the fish, but the joy of fishin’ with an old friend. Great day.

Creek was high

after we stocked. So, Al and I went to the pond instead.
Picked up 3 over 20″ on Friday at the pond, but only one the day that Al and I went there. Some of the guys did fish the creek and the gamble paid off. Steve said they did quite well there.
The fish were there, but today was their day. Will head back up in the middle of the week.
The brown in the pic was not the biggest of that day, but, nice nonetheless.

Bull Creek

and Deer were stocked this week. Got a few at Deer Creek, but had a field day at Bull.
The trout club did not float the creek, but stocked 7 buckets in one spot and 3 in another. Had 12 fish on 12 casts at one stretch. This beauty fell for the orange bugger just as I was getting ready to call it a day.
Yellow Creek has been very high from all the rain, so this week’s stocking was canceled. Steve will be putting fish in this Friday. Can’t wait to get back.

Back to almost normal

After getting skunked last week the creek was still high, but not as muddy.
The fishing was much better, catching a dozen fish and 2 over the 20″ mark.
Dan, Al, Sean, and Ryan were there as well. Though not a bonanza, the fishing was much better. You had to work for em, but they are definitely there.
